Open and free to all literature friends we discuss the novel 'Widerfahrnis' by Bodo Kirchhoff.  Books are available to buy from the library beforehand.

In his novella Widerfahrnis Bodo Kirchhoff tells a story of a double fall: into love, without being able to love enough and into humanity without being good enough.

Leonie Palm, former owner of a hat shop, takes Reither, a retired publisher, spontaneously on a journey through Italy. What unites them is that they are both not prepared to find love anymore. When they finally find happiness, they are followed by a girl who does not speak but is just simply there…

Winner of the German Book Price 2016.
