A confrontation on circular fashion and its imperative shifts

Through a critical analysis of Circular Fashion practices, technologies & philosophies, Arianna Nicoletti will seek answers to questions linked to the development of a closed-loop fashion industry.

We will be looking at questions such as:

  • What is the state-of-art of Circular Fashion?
  • Is recycling the real key to a closed-loop fashion industry?
  • What is the disruptive potential of human behavior in changing the system?

We are delighted to have presentations by:

  • Kresse Wesling, Co-founder and Director  „Elvis&Kresse“
  • Bridget Harvey maker and V&A “Fashioned from Nature” artist in residence
  • Film presentations by Centre for Sustainable Fashion

The event will take place in two parts, first Arianna Nicoletti, Bridget Harvey and Kresse Wesling will give presentations and speak about their research and work, followed by a Q&A.
This will be followed by the short film screenings of  Carlos Jimenez, Nadira Amrani and Crack Stevens, all of whom will join Arianna Nicoletti on stage for a short conversation and Q&A.

Presenting their projects, screening short movies and answering the audience's questions, the guests will create a dynamic of interaction and complementarity with Arianna´s research findings, enhancing different critical aspects of Circular Fashion.

This evening event marks the end of Arianna´s Goethe V&A Sustainable Fashion Residence.

* Due to unforeseen circumstances Miriam Ribul from Material Activism will unfortunately no longer be able to participate in the event.
