1962. Johannes Leinert and his advisor attend a physics congress in the Swiss Alps, expecting a groundbreaking quantum theory from an Iranian scientist. Upon arrival, the scientist is nonetheless missing. Johannes stays to work on his thesis but becomes captivated by Karin, a mysterious jazz pianist who seems to know his secrets. When another German physicist is found dead, Johannes is gradually drawn into a disturbing web of false memories, nightmares, and a dark mystery beneath the mountain.
