Copresented by the
Goethe-Institut Hongkong and the
Hong Kong Holocaust and Tolerance Centre, and supported by
German Films, this special film programme commemorates
International Holocaust Remembrance Day through the power of cinema, reflection, and dialogue.
Across one week, three acclaimed films will be screened, each offering a distinct perspective on the Holocaust and its lasting moral, historical, and human impact:
All screenings will be accompanied by post-screening talks, inviting audiences to engage more deeply with the films and the histories they confront.
We are honoured to welcome
Daniela Völker, director of The Commandant’s Shadow, who will join the post-screening Q&A virtually. The programme will also feature a special post-screening sharing by
Larissa Cain, a 93‑year‑old Warsaw Ghetto survivor and Paris‑based author, who will speak about her personal experience and reflect on the importance of remembrance today.
Join us from 25 January to 1 February 2026 for a meaningful cinematic journey of remembrance, learning, and conversation.
