A talk with Christine Thürmer - The most hiked woman in the World

繁體中文 | English

Talk mit Christine Thürmer

„Ich bin nicht schlank, habe Plattfüße und X-Beine und bin trotzdem die am längsten gewanderte Frau auf der ganzen Welt.“

“I'm not slim, I have flat feet and bow legs, and yet I'm the woman who has hiked the farthest in the whole world.”

When Christine Thürmer was born in 1967, there was no sign that she would one day become the woman who has hiked the most in the world. Although she was the top student in school, she was a complete failure at sports.

Later in life she first embarked on a successful career as a manager. However, following an unexpected layoff and the sudden death of a friend, she realized that time – not money – is the most important asset in life.

Completely untrained, and despite having flat feet, bowlegs, and being overweight…she hiked 4,277 kilometers along the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada! And that was just the beginning: Since then, she has covered more than 70,000 kilometers on foot, crossed the U.S. and Europe three times each, and written five books about her adventures, which remained on the German bestseller list for months.

Now, Christine Thürmer has "walked" her way to Hong Kong, and she will share her wonderful story with us on 3rd November. Don't miss this rare opportunity and register to reserve a seat.
