#Gtopia: Game Kitchen

Game Kitchen will open in the physical space - welcome to Current Plans, the art space located in Sham Shui Po. While the sharing will start at 8 PM, the space will be open from 4 PM. Come early if you are free and play some game together.

The event will also be streamed live online. If you want to join the online viewing room, please register here.
The spirit of staying true to one’s dream maintains to be the core value of indie games, or indie culture in general. Making indie games is a grand gamble: whether it's a win or lose, at the end of the day, the most satisfaction one gets is that you have tried and hence have no regret. At the same time, there are also pragmatic indie game devs when it comes to survival in the long run.

Jacky Chou from the Feeling Game Company calls himself a traitor. He is a believer and practitioner of survival first –  before you can make your dream game, ship some games that generate enough profits and practice your craftsmanship first. His game Every Hero is available on multiple mobile platforms. It is easy to play roguelike solo player game. The game is a product of date-driven design methods. Jacky and his teammates have gone through multiple iterations based on rounds of testplays during the entire development process. Every Hero is rated 4.6+ out of 5 on the App Store and the Google Play store by over 50000 players with over 2 million downloads.

During this Game Kitchen session we are happy to collaborate with “Game Dev Happy Hours” to have Jacky as the guest speaker sharing his traitor story.
