(Re)Creations in Isolation


A section on the website of Goethe-Institut Indonesien that features stories and inspirational activities by artists, intellectuals and cultural workers who have worked closely with Goethe-Institut Indonesien before. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which occurred in early 2020 in Indonesia, the initial entries of this section highlight the strategies and initiatives of the participants who continue to make a contribution, to keep up their spirits and remain positive in their environment.

Terra Bajraghosa

is a lecturer and visual artist who likes to read and make comics, a father of two children, born and works in Yogyakarta.

Sabine Müller

After completing her studies, she lived in Bandung and Jakarta for several years where she worked as a lecturer and translator at Politeknik Cimahi.

Sancoyo Purnomo

A descendant of Solo, Central Java, and born in Bekasi in 1991. His biggest interest is stage photography.

Ayu Permata Sari

Born in Kotabumi, Lampung, in 1992. She once dreamed about becoming a midwife, but eventually changed her mind and became a choreographer and dancer.
