This workshop will guide participants through the workflow of transcription, proofreading, and the final publication stages, ensuring the output is widely accessible and beneficial to the public.

The third panel discussion of the Digital Discourses 2026 series, entitled “From Grassroots to Global: Democratising Indonesian Heritage via Commons”, invites participants to discover the Wikimedia community’s initiatives in Indonesia aimed at preserving local knowledge and culture through the Wikimedia Commons digital platform.

In this panel discussion, speakers from Denpasar and Medan will recount their experiences and the challenges they faced in documenting sacred cultural practices in Bali and Malay culture in North Sumatra.
