Center for Scientific Documentation and Information of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (PDII LIPI) as management institution of deposit and documentation for gray literature related to science and technology studies. This stipulated in the Decree of Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology, in which it was mentioned, that PDII LIPI is the appointed institution to manage the information and documentation.
 
Related to this, as a research institution in Indonesia, the need to improve this project to the national level is considered as a priority to be implemented by other research institutions and higher educations.

Therefore, PDII LIPI is now organizing a National Workshop On Documentation and Information: Data, Information and Knowledge to formulate more policy recommendations for Repository and Depository system. This event will be held on October 25 & 26 2017.
 
The objective of this workshop is to discuss and propose strategy in using and managing data, information and knowledge in national repository and depository by:
-           Understanding stakeholder role and need
-           Discussing available evidence from research and practice
-           Benchmarking from international institution best practices.
 
Goethe-Institut Indonesien supports this important event by presenting Dr. Uwe Konrad, Head Information Services and Computing, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Germany as one of the speakers. He will be delivering his presentation on the topic: Research Data Management to Increasing Research Quality.
