Our libraries in Jakarta and Bandung remain closed to the public until further notice. The Onleihe, our digital library with more than 35,000 media, can still be used. Our libraries additionally offer its users a free pick-up service for media that can be ordered online.

Events
All cultural events at the Goethe-Institut that require a physical presence have been cancelled or postponed. Please keep track of our event calendar, our newsletter, and our social media for digital public events that we will offer while our institute is closed.
Q: Can I currently take an examination at Goethe-Institut Jakarta or Goethe-Institut Bandung?
A: All examinations at Goethe-Institut Jakarta and Bandung are cancelled until further notice with exam registration not being possible.
Q: How can I collect my legalized certificate or certificate in Goethe- Institut Jakarta and Bandung during that period?
A: We regret that we are unable to offer this service until further notice.
Q: Is the Onlinekurs postponed as well?
A: No, the Onlinekurs will proceed as planned.
Q: Until when will the library be closed?
A: The libraries in Bandung and Jakarta will remain closed to the public until further notice. However, our digital library “Onleihe” with more than 35,000 German language eBooks, audio books, movies, magazines and newspapers is still accessible. Our libraries also offer its users a free pick-up service for media that can be ordered online.

Q: What if I want to extend and return media?
A: All media were automatically extended until 30 June. We now ask you to return any media you have borrowed before the closure or to renew them yourself via your online account.
Media can be returned around the clock to the security staff at the entrance gate to the Goethe-Institut in Jakarta and Bandung. Media can be returned in person or by motorcycle courier (Ojek).
Please contact us if you are currently unable to return or renew media.
