Sharing Session Second Sharing Session: “Jermania” and the German Gaming Industry

Goethe-Institut in Bandung invites everybody who is interested to join the second Sharing Session about “Jermania” and the German Gaming Industry, which will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017.

“Jermania“ is an educational game for young Indonesians which emerged in 2016 out of a German-Indonesian cooperation of game designers. In the app, the players can explore five German cities, find out more about famous sights or show off their skills in cutting currywurst or preparing Döner.

The app was launched on March 22nd and since then available on Google Play Store for Indonesian people for download. Later on an evaluation was also hosted by Goethe-Institut later. In April and May 2017, game designers Arief Widhiyasa (Agate Studio), Teddy P. Wirawan & Garibaldi Mukti (Nightspade) & Adam Ardisasmita (Arsanesia Studio) traveled to Germany; to be on stage and talk about the game at Quo Vadis and the Long Night of Ideas in Berlin as well as the Games / Bavaria Vernissage in Munich, as well as visiting gaming studios in both cities.

This upcoming sharing session will take place on July 13th, 2017 from 3.30 to 6. pm at Goethe-Institut Bandung. Imansyah Lubis as project manager will be the moderator of the discussion. In this sharing session the speakers will be focusing not only on their experiences and their personal impressions but also on the German Gaming Industry in general. This event is open for public. Those who are interested to join are encouraged to register due to limited seats.
