This film captures the story of four couples from Germany, India, USA and Japan who have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. It explores how their love stories differ from modern ones, from the rules and etiquette of courting to their wedding night.

Nesrin Samdereli & Yasemin Samdereli
The sisters Nesrin and Yasemin Samdereli were both born in the 70s in Dortmund. They are the daughters of Turkish immigrants. While Nesrin mainly writes screenplays, Yasemin has specialized in directing. Their common works mostly deal with migration and Turkish life in Germany. Their most successful film Almanya - Welcome to Germany was honoured with the German Film Award 2011.
