Within the span of seven years of existence, Alur Bunyi has endured various shifts. From minor tensions to global pandemic, everything is in constant flux; the noise feels endless, gripping both fingers and minds. News, notifications, thoughts: none of it asks us to be present, yet we are always expected to contribute. Action and reaction linger in the air, a constant tension that guides the daily trajectory and shapes our responses.

Disagreement and polarization are, of course, nothing new. But these days, they sound louder than ever. When things fall into perpetual disarray, music can offer something rare: a safe pocket of stillness, a shared breath, an atmosphere that gently reminds us that listening has its own quiet strength.

That is why ETHER RECURRENCE exists: turning bedlam into beats, storming madness into revolt and utopia. Consisting of artists from diverse musical backgrounds, the concert is not a spectacle but a gathering of pique, indignation, and exasperation at the present. Yet instead of remaining in that raw, negative state, ETHER RECURRENCE bends bewilderment into melodies that are genuine, sentimental, and unflinching. Audiences will be guided through distinct moments; each an unexpected turn, never before explored in this program’s seven-year history. These performances channel frustration and disquiet, yet do not remain fixed in them. Consequently, what fills the stage is not ornament, but boundless imagination and music conceived as introspection.

Gabriella Miranda, Jesslyn Juniata, Alexandra R, Dalila, and Billy Aryo are not promising grand answers. What they provide is a room where time loosens its grip, where the music does what it does best: reminding us that, even amidst uncertainty, there is quiet.
