The Championship Match
The World Cup Football Championship and the 2018 Asian Games have gripped Goethe-Institut with football fever!
In our international online video game tournament, the language course participants of Goethe-Institut Bandung, Bangkok, Colombo, Delhi, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Calcutta, Pune and Tokyo are playing against each other using PlayStation to determine a champion.
What’s particularly special about this is that nobody has to leave their country. The games take place in the Goethe-Institut on site. The competitors will be connected via the internet and then have the chance to lead their respective teams to victory, despite thousands of kilometers between them. The language is, of course, German. The overall winner can look forward to a one-month language course in Germany; second and third places will be awarded a language course grant at their respective Goethe-Instituts.
After internal preliminary matches in May and playoffs in July, Liswindwinanto Wicaksono will play in the final match of the tournament.
Who will emerge as the champion? Jakarta, of course! But we need the support of all language course participants to make it happen. Come to the last and final match! Cheer on our player and let’s make Jakarta the winner of this year’s PlayStation tournament.
