From September to November 2018, Katharina Duve (Germany) and Sakinah Alatas (Indonesia) take part in the residency program of Cemeti – Institute for Art and Society in cooperation with Goethe-Institut Indonesien.

The Residency Program encourages an open process of research and knowledge exchange by bringing together local artists, craftsmen, curators, academics, as well as various institutions throughout Yogyakarta. The guiding idea of the residence is to encourage and support artists to interact directly with local communities and to deal with central issues of the local context and beyond.
