Contemporary experimental music

Gardika Gigih and Tomy Herseta present an acoustic-electronic collaboration – dynamic, occasionally calming, and always intense. The sounds are produced out of Gigih's piano and Tomy's noise-ambient set. They often improvise, letting all the different feels and energies of the moment infuse their music in real-time to create a distinct sound experience.

Featuring:

Gardika Gigih – Piano
Tomy Herseta – Laptop, synths, and effects
variables from Tomy's work desk.

Live Visuals:

Pfadfinderei, Berlin

Gardika Gigih is a pianist and also studied composition. His studio album Nyala was released by Sorge Records. Tomy Herseta has been experimenting with noise and electronic music for a long time. His EP Attemp was released by Hema Records. They both first met in 2017 in Bandung. Shortly after both presented their first live electronic improvisation and piano session.

In the series Alur Bunyi, the Goethe-Institut presents and discusses contemporary positions of experimental (not just) electronic music from Indonesia and Germany. This year's edition of Alur Bunyi is curated by Gerald Situmorang
