12-year-old Veysel has been living in Vienna for several months. His father, once a militant Kurdish oppositionist, had to leave home with his Turkish wife and two sons; at school, the boy has serious problems because of his lack of language skills; meanwhile at home, Veysel's older brother Mazlum, who ends up on the wrong path, causes conflicts. Without his little friend Ana, without his 33-year-old neighbor Cem and without his discovery of the poet Asik Veysel, the sensitive boy would be lost.
Deine Schönheit ist nichts wert is an intense, moving film about emigration, about the loss of home and the endless difficulties to find a new one.
