Upload your Story

Do you have an Irish relative who fell in WW I and would you like to include their story on the website?

If so, we are looking forward to receiving a short written piece about your relative’s life (including dates and places of birth), and their circumstances during WW I.
If you wish to send them, we would also love to get digitized photographs of your relative or scans of some of their documents to accompany your text. If you decide to send pictures, please include short captions and remarks on copyrights below your text.

Note We ask you to please be aware that some of the stories may be shortened or slightly edited in the editorial processes. This is to allow inclusion of as many stories as possible, so we hope you understand, if your full text may not appear on the website as you originally sent it.

Laden Sie gerne Fotos oder anderes Bildmaterial hoch, falls vorhanden.

Please include copyright information should you upload photos.

I herewith give permission to the Goethe-Institut to publish my text and photos on their website www.goethe.de for public access. I further grant permission to the Goethe-Institut to edit my text and translate it into other languages, and to make these versions accessible to the public. I hereby declare that my text is an original creation, that I wrote it in my own words and that it does not infringe on any copyright. I also declare that the publication of the photos does not infringe on the rights of a third party. The Goethe-Institut will treat all personal information confidentially.
