#FutureNow – Schulen für Nachhaltigkeit - Dänemark

The Nærum Grammar school is situated 20km North of Copenhagen. Our school was founded in 2003 and has 1100 students in grades 11 to 13.
Our vision is to encourage our students to new, innovative, creative thinking and to awaken their interest and joy in learning.

Therefore, our day-to-day school life is filled with innovative ideas and experimental learning.

Students from our 12th year will join the #FutureNow project in the subjects German and natural geography.

Together with the Friedensburg-Oberschule in Berlin, we are exploring ideas of how to create a better and more responsible life together. We work with the 17 SDGs and, more specifically, we focus on SDG 11, “sustainable cities and communities”, trying to find solutions for modern city planning and urban living. We are aiming to answer questions like “How do you work with climate protection in Danish cities, especially Copenhagen?” Additionally, “How will students focus on city planning in between buildings: how do you create a sustainable city?”
We are excited about this project and the exchange with teachers and students from the Friedensburg-Oberschule in Berlin!
