On the occasion of German director Sophie Linnenbaum’s invitation to Dublin International Film Festival 2023 with her first feature-length film “The Ordinaries – Die Gewöhnlichen”, Goethe-Institut Irland is also presenting Sophie Linnenbaum’s award-winning short film "PIX" on the Goethe-Institut’s digital film platform Goethe on Demand.

"PIX" is part of the online short film series "Protagonistinnen" on Goethe on Demand featuring seven German short films from the last seven years that centre female perspectives and female protagonists. Feature films, documentaries and animated films address topics such as family and family history reflected in German history, childhood and growing up.

"PIX" was a hit at multiple festivals in Germany and abroad and was awarded the Golden Lola as Best German Short Film in 2017.
