After his release from prison, Babtou is looking forward to a fresh start and to never have to deal with the German authorities again. But things do not turn out as he hoped. When the welcome back party thrown by the friends from his block goes horribly wrong, he is handcuffed again. He receives the terrible news that he will have to return to his "home country", Senegal. Babtou is helpless until he learns that marrying a German citizen is the way out of his misery. Since he has a bad reputation with the women in his neighbourhood, he tries to persuade his friend Dennis into a sham marriage.
