Blended Learning

Do you want to learn German with the experts, but only have a limited amount of time? Are you used to learning on a computer, but don’t want to miss out on the advantages of a face-to-face classroom environment? Would you like to have greater flexibility to choose learning times that work for you?

Our BLENDED LEARNING courses combine the best of both worlds: our intense face-to-face lessons take place online on Zoom and you learn German online totally flexible on your own schedule in between.

Since this learning format is especially efficient, you will make major progress within just a short period of time. We offer BLENDED LEARNING courses for the levels A1.1 A1.2, A2.1, A2.2, B1.1, B1.2, B2.1, C1.1 and C1.2.

BLENDED LEARNING is an ideal option if you want to learn German quickly, but don’t have the time to come to a face-to-face course to the institute or just do not want to come in for classroom based course during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is also perfect for people who live far away from the Goethe-Institut but don’t want to miss out on interaction with a personal tutor and fellow classmates.

How does it work?

The “face-to-face lessons” take place once a week online on Zoom. You will learn in a group of 10 to 18 students. During the online units, you will work on your computer using the Goethe-Institut’s interactive learning platform. You can individually and flexibly decide when and where you want to learn. With the help of professional, multimedia exercises and the latest learning methods, you will practice your reading, writing, and listening comprehension skills in German.
You will work on individual and group assignments. You can personally interact with other students in the course via chat or in forums.
The scope and content of the curriculum corresponds to that of our classroom based courses:
For A1.1, A1.2, A1.3 or A1.4: the 32 lesson units are divided into 16 “face-to-face” teaching units on Zoom and 16 online self-study units. The courses last 8 weeks each.
For A2.1, A2.2, B1.1, B1.2, B2.1, C1.1 and C1.2: the 64 lesson units are divided into 32 “face-to-face” teaching units on Zoom and 32 online self-study units. The courses last 8 weeks each.
A German teacher will personally support you for the entire duration of the course. This teacher will give you new assignments and regular feedback on your progress.
