As part of the GAZE International LGBT Film Festival Dublin 2017
German director Tristan Ferland Milewski will come to the Light House Cinema in Dublin to present his documentary
Dream Boat (2017). He has filmed on a cruise ship with only gay passengers for his cinematic debut. The film was nominated for the Teddy Award at the Berlinale 2017.
There is a lot going on at the cruise, most men perceive the ship and its parties as a paradise of long lost freedom. Milewski manages to show an intimate side of these men who are all coming from different backgrounds. They discuss openly about free love and monogamous relationships, body images and gay desires, about self-acceptance and identity.
