Michael Marrak studied graphic design, desktop publishing, and multimedia. He is active as an author, illustrator, publisher, and anthologist. He has been honored several times with the European Science Fiction Award, the Deutscher Phantastik Preis, the Kurd Lasswitz Award, and the German Science Fiction Award. Translations of his texts have been published in France, Greece, Russia, China, Hungary, and the USA. His novels, stories, and graphics cover a wide range of fantasy, horror, thriller, science fiction, and magical realism.
The novella "Journey to the Centre of Time" was produced in the summer of 2018 as part of the preparations for the re-opening of the Goethe-Institut Irland. Extracts from the novella will be translated into English by Rachel McNicholl.
