Liam Gillick: "Denominator Platform" (2018)

as part of "Common Denominator: Art in the Contemporary World"

Liam Gillick will give an artist talk on the occasion of his exhibition “A Depicted Horse is not a Critique of a Horse” at the Kerlin Gallery (23 November 2018 – 19 January 2019) and his “Denominator Platform” (2018), which was specially commissioned by the Goethe-Institut for its Return Gallery at 37 Merrion Square.

The event is part of “Common Denominator: Art in the Contemporary World” at the Goethe-Institut Irland, a two-year programme of exhibitions, events, seminars and workshops.

Liam Gillick is a British conceptual artist who currently lives and works in New York City. His works expose the ideas of reconsidering the terms of abstraction and architecture within a globalized consensus and like to question the exhibition as a form itself. They have been included in a number of high-profile exhibitions including documenta. Liam Gillick represented Germany at the Venice Biennale in 2009.
