Welthungerhilfe is one of Germany’s largest non-profit organizations. Working with the vision of a world free from hunger and poverty it has implemented over 1500 development programmes on food and nutrition security, health and water, sanitation and hygiene in rural areas of Asia and Africa, including India for the past six decades

Viva con Agua is an international community campaigning for Water for All with support from its 10000+ volunteers. It works to provide access to clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene to vulnerable communities across the world.

In this first edition of the festival in India, the programme is centered on water. Bringing together community changemakers, climate activists, conservationists, environmentalists, policy leaders, behavioural change experts, thinkers, and creative practitioners; including children, youth and adults from across India and internationally. Open to all, the two day programme includes art, poetry, storytelling, theatre, music, food, and conversations. There will also be an exhibition featuring Welthungerhilfe India and Viva con Agua’s WASH initiatives in India with partner non-profits. Award winning community workers will be present to share their work on the ground.

The programme partners known for their work on social change through the arts, include: Aagaaz Theatre Trust, Artreach, Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust, One Dot Foundation and The Community Library Network. Also bringing in a collective ‘Voice for Change’ is The Social House.

The festival ends with an evening of music with BBoying, Rap, Jharkhandi Folk and the closing act by Ditty and Keno.
