German Spotlight 2021

In association with Sandbox Collective since 2015, we have been inviting theatre persons to explore the large database of German language plays that have been translated into English and are available on our website. The selected works are presented in the form of a dramatised reading, with the objective of exposing theatre enthusiasts to different kinds of scripts and perspectives, as well as to popularise the vast Goethe library of contemporary German plays available in translation.

Now in its 6th season, German Spotlight is curated and presented by Sandbox Collective in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore.

Due to the pandemic, this season of four dramatised readings will take place in an online format, making it accessible to a much wider audience.
