Reinhard Kleist an award-winning German graphic novelist will illustrate along with music created by Amyt Datta on the Electric Guitar, Jonathan Kay on Saxophone, Akash Ganguly on Bass and Jivraj Singh on the drums.

This programme is part of the Annual Jazz Festival Kolkata 2017

Reinhard Kleist is an award-winning German graphic novelist, best known for his graphic biographies Johnny Cash: I See a Darkness, The Boxer, and An Olympic Dream. He works as an illustrator for books, CDs, advertisement, magazines and animation; and conducted workshops in Mexico, Brasil, Jordan, Indonesia, China, Thailand and Canada. His new book about the somali runner Samia Yusuf Omar was published by Carlsen under the title "Der Traum von Olympia" this year. He lives in Berlin.
