The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata has a rich collection of records on Western classical music. The collection includes records from the fifties till the eighties.

The Vinyl Club is a new intiative by the Goethe-Institut Kolkata, where music aficionados can listen to classical music from vinyls and talk about everything music.

The first session of the Vinyl Club was on 26th May, 2023. This session paid homage to the timeless classics of Johann Sebastian Bach. The following sessions presented selected music pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Joseph Haydn, Georg Friedrich Händel and Johannes Brahms.

The fifth session is on 22nd September, 2023. The composer for this session is Ludwig Van Beethoven.

The sessions will be conducted by the renowned musician and expert in Western classical music, Mr. Abraham Mazumder.

Session 4: 25 August
Session 5: 22 September
