What harms our environment? We tend to first think of cars, factories, plastics, etc. Rarely do we think that providing food for the growing world population could be one of the biggest threats to our environment.

The Science Film Fest 2018 will be hosted in Mumbai from October to December, bringing the best contributions from international science communication to this year's theme "THE FOOD REVOLUTION”.

There are interesting films for every age group. If you are interested in showing the films in your schools, kindly send us an e-mail mentioning details of your school and target group.

Dates:  October - December 2018

Overview of films, trailers and lesson tips

What makes my city special? And how can one capture this atmosphere and showcase them to viewers from another city, another culture? With these questions in mind began the intercultural photo project „Show your city“, organised by the Goethe-Institut for students from partner schools in Mumbai and Stuttgart. 15 young learners of German from 7 schools in Mumbai took part oin this project. Through workshops and excursions and guided by professionals from the field of photography, the youngsters acquired not only camera-skills but also - and more importantly - "the art of seeing" from different cultural perspectives.

The resulting photographs and texts will be showcased as the exhibition "Mumbai: Views from a city" as part of the 50-year-celebrations of the city-partnerships of Mumbai and Stuttgart. The exhibition was on show this July at the Town Hall in Stuttgart, and the same, along with the photos of the German students, will be displayed in Mumbai in late November 2018.

Dates:  24.11. - 25.11.2018

Venue:  Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, Kala Ghoda
