For more than 70 years, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra (SCO) has a unique tradition as cultural ambassador of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras, famous for its colourful and virtuoso sound. It plays around 90 concerts a year all over the world with the most famous artistic partners.

In 2019, the orchestra will be in India for the fifth time. The concert programme includes a variety of classical masterpieces. Under the direction of concertmaster Bogdan Božović, the SCO will play works of German composers Bach and Brahms as well as the world premiere of Vistar, a commissioned work of renowned Indian composer Sandeep Bhagwati. The SCO will play this piece with musicians from India in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
