The forum is an international documentary event attended by some of the most noted documentary makers from across the globe along with foundations and broadcasters to explore co-production opportunities for creative independent filmmakers passionate to produce intriguing stories from real life. 

The forum includes an intensive training cum pitching initiative where filmmakers are rigorously mentored on their current creative projects before pitching them to a panel of international broadcasters and foundations.

The programme also includes screenings, seminars and master classes conducted by renowned filmmakers. The carefully planned seven days focus deeply on intensive mentoring to develop original story telling skills and creation of coproduction opportunities for potential projects.

This year twenty five projects have been selected from eight countries to participate in Docedge 2020.

DocedgeKolkata will be opened on 02.03.2020 at 5 pm at Bhasha Bhawan Auditorium, National Library and will continue at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata from 03.03. - 08.03.2020.
