September 25, 2018, 10.00 a.m. @ Hebbel am Ufer - HAU 1/ Berlin
Colloquium on artist residencies in Berlin
The importance of residency programmes is growing, especially in the age of globalisation. This kind of exchange helps artists to break political and linguistic barriers, create sustainable exchange and long-term contacts.
"Andauernde Grenzüberschreitung - Ein Abend der deutschen internationalen Residenzprogramme" is a two-part event bringing together stakeholders, former residents, political representatives and relevant players in the cultural scene. The programme will be an interesting mix of talks, performances and presentations.
Colloquium: 25.09.2018, 10 a.m. in the foyer of Hau 1 / Berlin. No entry fee.
Our Director, Dr. Claus Heimes, will be in conversation with a former colleague, Stephanie Koch, who wrote her Master Thesis on the bangaloREsidency and two former bangaloREsidents - Nora Bibel and Uwe Jonas.
On the previous evening is a cultural event on the same topic, where yet another former bangaloREsident Martin Lutz will present a sound installation. Click on the link for more information (in German).
Organised in Berlin by the University of Hildesheim and the Goethe-Institut.
