Something in the Air @ Maraa's October Jam

We are happy to host film screenings on Fridays of October by our partner and bangaloREsidency host Maraa, as part of October Jam 2018. Something in the Air presents films around the blind spots in human condition in all its slowness and erratic appearances. The selected films are reflective of the theme and in essence, an assertion of ghostly presences, that haunt us in everyday life.

Four of the five movies will be screened at the Bhavan:

As a call from the periphery of sanity, the film is a series of dream narratives, and accounts of spiritual possession as experienced by women ‘petitioners’ at the shrine of a Sufi saint. Fear and desire is experienced through dreams and ‘afflictions of air’.
