We are happy to host the
12th edition of
Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF).
This year
BISFF will be in a
hybrid format: the
online screenings will take place from
August 4 to14, 2022 and
offline screenings from
August 11 to 14, 2022 in
Suchitra Film society and at
the Bhavan.
BISFF received this year 3000 plus submissions from across 90 countries, out of which 23% are women filmmakers. Around 250 films have been shortlisted for the festival screening.
The
highlight of the festival is a specially curated section of
9 German Films, which will be screened on the evening of
August 13, 2022 at the
Bhavan.
BISFF was launched in 2010. It now has the distinction of being one of the largest Short Film Festivals in India.
BISFF showcases shorts from across the world, creating a physical space for a great experience of cinema. It brings together keen, like-minded audiences for the filmmakers.
BISFF also exhibits works by past masters who have dabbled in short filmmaking that exists today as an independent art form.
In 2020,
BISFF received
Oscar accreditation, making it the only Oscar Academy qualifying short film festival in India for the Live Action Category.
Additionally, the festival presents talks, panel discussions, demonstrations and workshops with leading thinkers, professionals and industry practitioners, providing an opportunity for young filmmakers to interact with the best in the industry.
Film enthusiasts can register and watch films
here.
