[TRANSLOCAL] SOLIDARITY NETWORKS: Reflection Session on Future Directions ©goetheinstitut

A consortium of Goethe-Institut offices across South Asia, namely Bangladesh, Colombo, Kolkata, Karachi, and Chennai have conceptualized and started the initiative [Translocal] Solidarity Networks since February 2021, in close consultation with Tanzim Wahab, the project initiator and advisor.

During the past six months, a research team from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh have analysed the cultural landscape of their respective regions to build a solid foundation of research and resources.

Since October, the researchers – Sakshi Kumar (Pakistan), Tanya Dutt (India), Kehkasha Sabah (Bangladesh), and Kirubalini Stephan (Sri Lanka) – are conducting closed-door and open sessions with cultural practitioners, artists, educators, and experts from their region to assess scopes and challenges to formulate Future Directions for Translocal Solidarity Networks.

We cordially invite you to participate in the session, in which the panel of the four researchers, Tanzim Wahab, and Dr. Kirsten Hackenbroch (Director, Goethe-Institut Bangladesh) will reflect with experts on the synthesis of the regional sessions.

The session will be live streamed on Goethe-Institut Bangladesh’s Facebook, where everyone can ask questions and participate via comments that will be fed back into the discussion.

Please join us on 1 NOVEMBER 2021
