A photo project by students from across Tamilnadu

Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai and CPB Prism in cooperation with several schools from Tamil Nadu presents a Students Showcase - ‘A Land of Stories’ at the Government Museum 406, Pantheon Road, Chennai-600 008 at 4.00 pm on Saturday, the 26th of February.

The student exhibition will take place from 26th February to 17th April, 2022 and will host works of 40 students from across Tamilnadu. With all the diverse people, food, architecture, landscapes, and cultural trails it has, exploring Tamil Nadu through pictures is a great way to reflect its richness.

The state's heritage, both natural and man-made, can be seen aplenty across its length and breadth. That is exactly what these young artists from all over Tamil Nadu were invited to document over the last few months. The unfiltered vision of the students, and the endless stories of Tamil Nadu, come together and hope to strike a compelling narrative with the viewer.

About the Theme

Land of Stories - A photo project by students from across Tamilnadu

An amalgam of diverse people, unparalleled heritage and lush landscapes, Tamil Nadu is a land of rich stories.

We invited young artists from Chennai and across the state to portray their hometowns through their lenses. Mentored on photography using iPhones, students set out to capture photographs with the land as their muse, keeping a keen eye out for vivid colors, abstract shapes, eye-catching shadows, and compelling portraits.
