A CELEBRATION OF OPERAS

This concert by Ensemble Chromatics will feature 15 soloists singing arias from different operas. The selection includes compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Humperdinck, Massenet, Verdi, Gounod, Delibes, Offenbach and Puccini. The arias are in Italian, German and French.
Along with the arias, the ensemble will perform three other pieces.
The opening of the concert will be a choral version of the overture from Marriage of Figaro. The singers will act the scene (with minimal costumes and props to bring out the scenic flavor).
The concert will be accompanied by a piano along with a small ensemble of strings and woodwinds to argument the melodic lines.

Chromatics stages concerts of Arias and Art songs, showcasing individual voices through arias from operas and oratorios and Lieder and Italian art songs.
Chromatics has done very successful concerts in many cities of South India with raving reviews. They do ‘Sacred Arias’ concerts too.
Chromatics is the brainchild of Augustine Paul who is a well-known Choral conductor and teacher. The idea behind forming this ensemble is to facilitate performance opportunities for the talented.

- Entry and Exit into the performance hall will be organized one by one.
- Physical distancing has to be strictly maintained on corridor and in the hall.
- Access to other spaces in the premises is possible only on prior permission.
- Air-conditioner will be @ 27-30 degrees, and Entry Door of the performance hall may be kept open.
