Franz Kafka continues to be compelling even now in the 21st Century. Commemorating the 100th death anniversary of Kafka, Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Chennai is organizing a wide range of events from theatre to comics to virtual reality.

As a curtain raiser to the celebrations, we bring to you a two-day creative writing workshop on ‘Letter to Father’. This workshop is for writers in English and Tamil, aimed to inspire them to read and respond to Kafka’s ‘Letter to his father’.

Day one of the workshop is on 1st of June 2024, between 10AM and 5PM. V. Geetha, Editorial Director of Tara Books would be conducting the workshop. We have an introductory address about Franz Kafka and his works by Mr. Seralathan, Teacher-Trainer, Goethe-Institut Chennai, followed by reading of excerpts from the book both in English and Tamil and discussions.

Following the first day workshop and assignments given, the second day workshop is on 6th of July 2024, between 10AM and 5PM. The session will have presentations of letters written by the participants and discussions.

Participants registering for this workshop must attend it on both days. Limited seats and registration is mandatory.
