"Her" is a captivating theatre-dance piece that merges the timeless depth of Bharatanatyam with contemporary theatrical aesthetics. It tells the story of a generous woman who embarks on an extraordinary journey to protect the hope for a better future for herself and her unborn child. Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's The Good Person of Setzuan, the performance explores the complex notions of good and bad, highlighting the struggle to remain virtuous in a world where goodness is often exploited.

The stage features two musicians representing divine figures, positioned above the scene, who play original compositions and interact dynamically with the protagonist. A mysterious, masculine narrator guides the audience through her story. The music and choreography are entirely original, as are the English dialogues and Tamil song lyrics, lending a distinctive and authentic voice to the production.

This unique meeting of Indian dance and Western theatre offers an immersive, thought-provoking experience, inviting audiences to reflect deeply on the fragile balance between morality, survival, and hope.
