Anamika Joshi is a Hindi Spoken Word Artist based out of Jaipur. Her poems have touched millions across the world for being simple, relatable, and sharp. She has spoken on topics around relationships, women empowerment, gender equality, imperfection, everyday life and many unspoken social issues. She believes that there are many uncomfortable and ignored aspects of our lives that need to become a part of our everyday conversations, and spoken word has the power to make it happen.
She established her brand ‘Batto Ki Bakwaas’ in 2018 as a platform to share her thoughts and ideas. Owing to her unconventional approach to writing, she has been widely covered by popular digital and print media houses like Brut India, Mid-Day, Femina India, The Quint, The Better India, ScoopWhoop, Rajasthan Patrika, The New Indian Express, etc. Her two most popular pieces are ‘Akhir Tum Hote Kaun Ho’, and ‘Maa Tum Bhi Galat Ho Sakti Ho’.
