B1 Exam Preparation Course

Are you planning on taking the exam to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 but don’t quite know how to best prepare for it? Are you unsure of what to expect during the exam or do you just want to continue practicing for a bit longer? Are you waiting to take the exam and don’t want to risk being out of practice on the day of the exam?
In any of these cases our online B1 Exam Preparation Course is just what you want. You will further develop your language skills by working on plenty of exercises and by taking a final mock exam at the end of the course. A tutor will be available throughout the course to answer your questions.
All of this will be online allowing you to prepare for the B1 exam anytime and anywhere you choose to.

Course structure

The exam preparation course is divided into four parts:

1. Knowledge test
First things first - you will take a test to analyse your current language skills.

2. Exercises
Based on your test results your tutor will recommend exercises to meet your individual needs.

3. Contacting your tutor
Your tutor will answer questions via e-mail. In addition you will be able to meet your tutor and ask questions in two online live sessions. These live sessions are included in the course.

4. Mock exam
At the end of the course you will take a mock exam allowing you to apply and test your language skills. This gives you the opportunity to experience an exam situation very similar to the one that you will face during the actual B1 exam.

Der Kurs startet an festen Terminen und findet komplett online statt. Sie lernen selbständig und können sich Ihre Arbeitszeiten zeitlich und räumlich flexibel einteilen. Die Termine für die 6 Online-Livesitzungen werden in Absprache mit den anderen Kursteilnehmer*innen und deren Verfügbarkeiten entschieden. Normalerweise findet der Unterricht entweder von 19.00 -20.30 Uhr oder von  21:00 Uhr bis 22:30 Uhr statt, da die meisten der Teilnehmer*innen berufstätig sind. Die Lehrenden besprechen dies mit allen Teilnehmer*innen (während der Kick-Off Sitzung) und entscheiden dann in Absprache mit den Kursteilnehmer*innen, an welchem Tag (Montag – Freitag) die Live-Sitzungen stattfinden werden.

The entire course is run online. It is made up of an initial test, which allows you to test your current language skills, plenty of exercises as well as a final mock exam. You will be able to get in contact with your tutor via e-mail for the duration of the course.
You need to provide proof of achieving level B1; this can be through a course certificate no older than 6 months or through a separate placement test.
Participants may register for the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 exam; the exam comes at an extra cost and is not included in the services provided in this course.
