by Performing Group

Performing Group is a theatre and dance production ensemble from Cologne, Germany, whose members like to reinvent themselves by developing innovative and never-seen-before stagework and exploring unconventional stage content and media.

“TRASHedy” is one such unique play by Performing Group which takes a cheerful yet interrogative look at the contemporary topics of environmental protection and consumerism. They manage to explore issues like how many plastic cups do we use in the course of our lives? How deeply do our daily consumption and actions affect the environment?

Using a mix of animated drawings, dance and sound collages, “TRASHedy” takes an honest and humorous look at consumerism and our freedom of choice. The play will be acted out by the artists Daniel Matheus, Constantin Hochkeppel & Conrad Kausch.
