Bernard D’Mello: Former Deputy Editor of the Economic and Political Weekly and senior journalist. He is a civil rights activist with the Committee for the Protection of Democratic Rights, Mumbai. He is the author of ‘India since Naxalbari: Unfinished History’. Author of several reports on Left politics in India.

Amit Bhattacharyya: Professor of Department of History, Jadavpur University. Author of ‘Storming the Gates of Heaven/Maoist Movement in India: A Critical Study, 1972-2014.' His other major publications include ‘Swadeshi Enterprise in Bengal 1880-1947’, 'Transformation of China 1840 – 1969' and ‘Human Rights in India (Co-editor).

Samik Bandyopadhyay: A noted writer on contemporaty films and arts in India. Bandyopadhyay joined the communist movement in the 1960s. In 1993, his book Antonio Gramsci Nirbachita Rachansamagra was published in Kolkata.
Christina von Braun: A writer, film maker, and a professor of cultural theory and history. She was nominated full professor at Humboldt-University in 1994. She has made more than fifty films and authored many books. One of her core area of work has been the relation between gender and history. Prof. von Braun is also the Vice president of the Goethe-Institut.

Mallarika Sinha Roy: An Assistant Professor at the Centre for Women’s Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her area of expertise is social movement studies and women and political violence. Her essays have been published in various journals.

Kunal Chattopadhyay: Professor of the Department of Comparative Literature. He has published several books including, ‘Leon Trotsky: History of the Russian Revolution’, ‘Leon Trotsky: Writing in Exile’ and ‘Leninism and Permanent Revolution’.
