Scholarships for further training in Germany

German language teachers at our partner institutions in Mumbai, Maharashtra und Gujarat can apply for a scholarship to attend a further training programme at a Goethe-Institut in Germany.

You can choose between an advanced level language course (level B2 or above) or a training seminar in methodology-and-didactics or a culture-and-didactics seminar. Duration: 2 to 4 weeks.

The scholarship covers all expenses pertaining to the training programme (course fees, training material, accommodation, board, health insurance, travel grant). The participant has to only bear a part of the travel costs (partial flight costs, visa processing fees).

Application criteria for advance language training programmes:
- minimum language competency level B1 (exam certificate Goethe-Zertifikat B1)
- Current work experience of at least 2 years in one of our partner institutions
- regular participation at our local training seminars and workshops

(Langauge course scholarships are generally reserved for German teachers outside Mumbai.)

Application criteria for methodology/didactics seminars:
- minimum language competency level C1 (exam certificate Goethe-Zertifikat C1)
- Current work experience of at least 3 years in one of our partner institutions
- regular participation at our local training seminars and workshops

Application criteria for culture-and-didactics seminars:
- minimum language competency level C1 (exam certificate Goethe-Zertifikat C1)
- Current work experience of at least 3 years in one of our partner institutions
- regular participation at our local training seminars and workshops
- have not been in Germany in the past four years

31 October (for training programmes in the next year)
