Wiebke Trunk will give a lecture and walk through the exhibition Social Criticism and War by Otto Dix
Wiebke Trunk did study stage design at the State Academy of fine Arts in Stuttgart (Prof. Jürgen Rose). After this she continued her study with the disciplines philosophy and art history at the Universities in Stuttgart and Würzburg. Today her work is focused on the cultural field, especially to find ways to realize contemporary forms of art education. She is doing this as well in Germany as on an international level - for example for the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations – ifa for short. Her scientific thematic priority is the relation between art and politics. At the moment she is finishing her phd which analysis the art education during the National Socialist period in Germany. Since 2014 she is research associate at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg at the department for visual studies.
