Film Heritage Foundation in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai is delighted to announce our next training workshop in February 2020!
Do you have a collection of U-matic, Beta, Digi-Beta tapes, video and audio cassettes in your personal collection, museum, archive or studio that you would like to preserve and digitize?
The workshop taught by conservation expert Andreas Weisser from Germany, will cover the history of audio and video technology (analog and digital), degradation mechanisms, risk assessment, care taking of equipment, storage requirements and optimization of storage facilities, conservation/restoration treatment methodologies and preparation for in-house or external digitalization projects.
The workshop is free of cost and lunch is included on both days.
Workshop times: February 28 & 29, 2020, 10.00am to 5.30pm
Beware: there will be a selection procedure as limited seats are available! English will be the language of instruction.
