In February 2008 the Federal Foreign Office launched the initiative “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH). It strengthens and creates a global network of more than 2,000 PASCH-Schools with particular ties to Germany.

The initiative is coordinated by the Federal Foreign Office and implemented in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), the Educational Exchange Service of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The goals of the initiative are to arouse and sustain young people’s interest in and enthusiasm for Germany, German Language and Culture, to open new educational and career opportunities and to strengthen German Language Teaching in these schools.

The PASCH-Initiative supports these schools with a broad range of services towards strengthening German language classes, which includes teachers trainings, lesson observations, mentoring and monthly teachers meet. With the aim to strengthen the interest in German Language, to get to know the German Culture and also to have intercultural comparative studies a wide range of projects and programs are offered. Such programs include youth camps, youth film festivals, cultural Workshops, students festival, various competitions, theater and music tours, exhibitions, youth language courses, fit exams etc.

This initiative offers training sessions and German Language courses in India as well as in Germany. For meritorious students we have an attractive scholarship program to attend special language youth camps in Germany.
