In its 2nd edition, Film Festivals from Europe, aims to bring participating films of renowned international film festivals from Europe to India. This year, the festival begins in Delhi and Pune on Thursday, 29 September and will travel to Kolkata on Friday 30 September. The 20 participating films include fiction, documentary and short films featured between 2011 and 2015 at Berlinale (Germany), Festival du film d’amour de Mons (Belgium), Lisbon & Estoril film festival (Portugal), Festival del Film Locarno (Switzerland) and the Rome Independent Film Festival (Italy). The presence of three directors coming from Belgium, Italy and Switzerland during the screening of their films in each city is the high point of the festival.
