International Music Day (Fête de la Musique 2017)

Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Pune will celebrate International Music Day on 21st June 2017. 

Since 1982 the Fête de la musique or International Music Day has been celebrated every year in France. The idea of bringing people together to make or to enjoy music found great response and other countries also started celebrating the world music day in a similar way. Amateur and professional musicians are encouraged to perform on the streets. The slogan Faites de la musique (Make music), a homophone of Fête de la Musique, is used to promote this goal. Many free concerts are organized, making all genres of music accessible to the public. Two main features of this event are that all concerts are free to the public, and all performers donate their time for free.

Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Pune joined in this festive and joyful event by organizing a musical evening on this day every year.                                                                                                          
As a tradition, this year also various songs will be performed by students of MMB as well as other local bands.
